I started using the product two weeks ago. I had to use numerous bandaids to cover the cover up discs to keep them in place. After about 5 salicylic acid discs the product finally did the trick. When I pulled off the final disc it peeled off part of the wart. I then use a piece ot tissue to gently rub over the wart to remove the remaining pieces. The process was kind of disgusting, and it left a small crater on the inside of my forefinger, but with neosporin and a bandaid my wart seems to be healing fine. Overall this is a good product and didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would to work.

This product is very easy to use but as the instructions state it takes at least 12 weeks. You will see results within 48 hrs b/c layers of skin will peal off when you change the bandage but the wart does not start to shrink until about week 8. Would recommend to people who are adverse to using more harsh, speedy products.

Comments about Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Salicylic Acid Wart Remover, Pads & Discs, 18 ea:

I see a lot of negative comments, and I am stunned. People are obviously not reading the instructions, as it is a process and can take time.

I have been using the medicated discs for about 2 weeks now, and my wart has almost entirely disappeared. It was a rather large wart, probably 1cm in diameter, and is now about the size of the head of a pin. Awesome. I am thrilled, because the wart was on my hand in a place that could be painful when performing daily duties.

I am also using the plantar discs for a wart on my foot. This wart is much larger (a little smaller than a dime (ew), and this wart has shrunk to about half the size of before in the same two weeks.

Key is to keep replacing the pads every 24-48 hours. I try to last 48-hours, but since it is on my hand, it sometimes was hard to last that long since the cover often came loose during washing. The only downside. I would just dry off the area, and once the cover dried it usually stuck back on. As for the planter discs, no problem keeping them on for 48 hours, since they don't have the washing issue as often, and easier to keep on in the shower since you aren't using your feet to hold soap and shampoo your hair.

All-in-all, this product has been an easy to use solution for my warts. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Comments about Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Salicylic Acid Wart Remover, Pads & Discs, 18 ea:

We used these as a daily treatment inconjuction with 2 liquid nitrogen treatments from the Dr. My daughter had about a dime sized plantar wart on her foot that finally fell off after about 4-5 weeks. My 9 y/o daughter was able to apply these on her own on days I forgot, which was nice.
In additon you should be filing these warts down with a nail file, easier when they are soft, such as after a bath or shower. (per the dr - seems to help).
The covers/pads do have a tendency to fall off. To prevent that, we treat at night before bed and socks during the day help to keep these from falling off. We also sometimes use a bigger bandage to help keep these on.
Now I'm onto my son to treat these warts. I'm going to try this without the liquid nitrogen to see how that works.

completely worthless. I used for weeks just as directed and the wart is still there. I'll go back to freezing them, that is the only thing that has worked in the past.

used with Freeze It liquid; put a drop of freeze it on the skin tag, cover with medicated disk, cover with skin colored cover and forget about until the cover falls off. Your skin tag will be gone(unless it was very large)

This product works over time - NOT a QUICK fix. Plan on several weeks. Unlike a trip to the dermatologist, it's painless. Use the medicated disk, cover it with a cover up disk, then the IMPORTANT part, cover the cover up disk with one of those little square band-aids (7/8 X 7/8). If you skip the band-aid part, you will have a hard time keeping the wart remover on for more than a few hours, then it becomes expensive, and doesn't work.
