It is of gel consistency but is more creamy in texture. I have changed from Arm and Hammer and Pepsident toothpastes to this one, permanently. It took several times of the paste getting washed down the drain that i had to push it into the brush before I could use it. Once in use, it didn't bubble nor give your moth a "fresh" feeling.
