I first bought this shampoo [@] last year; they no longer carry it, so it is difficult to find in stores. But after using it for several months, my hair and scalp have improved considerably. Dr. Varon's contains high-quality herbal ingredients and is very soothing for scalp conditions (dryness, dandruff, etc.). The instructions tell you to leave it on for up to 5 minutes; with normal shampoos, my hair would be dry and frizzy after 5 minutes, but Dr. Varon's left my scalp refreshed and my hair clean and smooth. Be sure to shake the bottle before using because the natural ingredients will collect on the bottom.

Although this shampoo is packaged as therapeutic, two uses make it totally unacceptable for truly fine and thin hair. My hair is so full of static I can't even brush it. It's stuck FLAT to my head and does not even feel overly soft, just coarse and dry. I could barely get a comb through it wet. Will be returning this product - never to use again. I don't have enough hair to gamble with products like this.

Used only once because the results made my hair which is naturally curly, and somewhat course, unmanagable. I didn't think it cleansed well and could not see any therapeutic benefits.

I've been using the product twice a week for three weeks. Seems to be working, but I may not be able to continue using it because it's so drying. Makes my hair feel like straw and absolutely requires a conditioner.

This product helps a great deal with my itchy scalp. It works with my hair type to give me body too. It doesn't suds up like other shampoos, but it still does the job.

I love this shampoo. No, it doesn't lather well, and yes, you do need to use a conditioner afterward, but it has completely cleared up my dry, flaky scalp.
I find it doesn't lather well if your hair is oily, so to combat this I quickly use a tea-tree oil based shampoo to "clean" my hair, and then I apply the Dr. Varons and let it sit for the recommended amount of time. Once your hair is less oily, it lathers just fine. Also, conditioner does need to be used, in my opinion. Lastly, I do believe I've seen less hair in the drain. :)
Simply rub Dr. Varon's Therapeutic Shampoo into your hair and scalp with your fingertips until it forms a generous amount of foam. Mold the foam like a cap and leave on your hair for as long as possible (3 to 5 minutes). Rinse thoroughly.
