We bought this to check our daughter for when we needed to initiate her asthma action plan or get her to the hospital. This device was very useful for this purpose. Readings were generally very reliable and accurate. It was easy to use on a child's finger as well as an adult's. The biggest issue with this device was its durability. It broke very early on. I was able to hold it together and still get it to work. However, its design was too flimsy for the price. Battery power was never an issue.

Did not work when received. Manufacturing date was two years old. Battery seemed OK, 3.7v, so not sure if that was the problem. New battery was [$] on manufacture's website.[...]

I CAN'T USE THIS PRODUCT. THE DISPLAY ONLY LIGHTED UP FOR ABOUT A SECOND THE FIRST TIME I PUT IN ON MY FINGER. I TOOK IT TO MY NIECE THAT'S A NURSE AND SHE COULD NOT GET IT TO WORK. WE WERE GOING TO CHECK THE BATTERIES BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO TAKE THE BATTERY COVER OFF WITHOUT BREAKING IT AND DECIDED NOT TO TRY. THIS PRODUCT COMES DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER SO CAN'T GET A RESPONSE FROM MANUFACTURER [...]. IT'S A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

The battery cover is very difficult to remove. You need a screwdriver to pop it out and when you do the plastic cover is so brittle it breaks. Mine did!

This product is great if you have trouble knowing when to use your rescue inhaler or need to see if your treatment is still effective. Also, after a recent surgery, my caregiver used it periodically to check breathing quality.
