The cost of drycleaning has gone over the moon. My husband and I agreed to try this product to see if it would get some of the surface dirt off my sweaters. Most of them are cashmere and I take very good care of them.
That said, they aren't unspeakably dirty: no motor oil, no dunking in marinara saude, no spilling of red wine, just generalized soil from wearing the light colored ones two or three times, especially across the bosom and the sleeves from the elbows down.
I'm always careful to snip off any 'furballs' or pills.
Accoring to the directions I put four sweaters in the provided sack, added a cleaning packet and set my dryer for thirty minutes. When the bell rang I immediately unloaded the sack and hung the sweaters up, so they wouldn't develop wrinkles.
After letting them dry for about an hour I folded them up and put them in their sweater bags and tucked them away.
I noticed no unusual 'drycleaner' odor and the sweaters did clean up as I had expected. It does do a good job, and if you aren't waiting on a miracle, like removing marinara sauce, it may help you keep down your cleaning bills.

You can save yourself costly trips to the dry cleaners by using Dryel on clothes that have light stains or simply need freshening. Removes smoke and other unpleasant odors, and many stains.

The stain stick and the clothing bag that are included in the starter kit are not included in the refill pack, so if you need these items you will have to purchase a new starter kit to get them. They are not sold separately.

However, I am pleased with the results I have gotten using Dryel, and will continue to purchase this product.

I heard about this a long time ago & have spent tons of money on dry cleaning, especially sweaters during the winter. I thought I would try this & it was a very useful alternative to dry cleaning. You can't fit tons of stuff in the dryer bag, maybe 4-5 thin to moderately thick sweaters, but it seemed to work great.

I only had one cloth left and put in a lighter colored sweater with black wool pants. Risky, I know. All of it came out great! I don't think I will do it again but I was very pleased with this product. I prefer unscented laundry products but this smell is not too terrible.

This product is a huge value!! Dry-cleaning in our area costs about $2.10 an article. We have lots of shirts we prefer to be dry-cleaned, obviously the costs adds up fast. With this product we safe tons of money, it works out to be 50% not including the saving on not having to drive across town. These clothes are exposed to heavy smoke and after using this product, there's not a hint of smoke. Even better, it's super fast & easy!!! All I can say is "awesome"!!!

This product works quite effectively on all fabrics that you would normally dry clean at the professional cleaners, even silk. I've been using it for a number of years but it suddenly became unavailable in Sunnyvale, CA. I'm glad to find it here and will buy through Drugstore.com from now on.

I gave this 3 stars because it is fine to use for regular casual clothes. However I got overly excited and used it on a delicate top that I only wore once. Unfortunetly, the fine elastic has come out in the lace-like detailing and looks like little hairs sticking up, making the shirt look too cheap to wear. It was my mistake and hope no one else makes this one. Use this product on older /cheaper clothes that you won't get too upset about if it gets ruined, or non-delicate fabrics.

This is defiantly not a replacement for dry cleaning. It does however refresh your clothes and extends the amount of time between each professional cleaning. If you don't sweat a lot its good to use after each time the garment is worn to keep it fresh, THEN dry clean after the 3rd or 4th use to thoroughly clean the garment. This product does save you money and several trips to the dry cleaner. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because its not the replacement I expected but I will continue to purchase and use in between trips to the cleaner.
