It can be rolled up completely, or left open so it lies flat in the suitcase or carry-on. We travel at least twice/month and this bag has saved me time and stress! I bought a second one and use that every day for my 'home' makeup. The brushes are fine; not high quality, but they're great for travel. definitely worth the price. They were lost when I moved and I was never able to find any brushes that I liked as much, so when I remembered where I had bought the ones that I loved so much, I immediately ordered them. I was disappointed when I opened the case as the brush handles were marred by the case. I am thinking they were stored with something heavy on them or something. As well, the bristles on the eyeshadow and blush brushes are not as full as they used to be. (I happened to have a couple that I had in a makeup case that were not lost.) It appears that they changed the shape of some of the brushes, too. Overall, while I am disappointed at the changes, they are still really good brushes for the price. Pros
