Since these expensive curler don't offer replacements unless you buy a new curler, I tried this one. I'm quite pleased with it since I bought a few months ago. It takes a bit longer to curl the lash line but for [$], I can handle that. It works really nicely with some heat from the hairdryer ( try for no more than 15 seconds). The only downfall for me is the size, its a bit big for a most of my travel makeup bags. Also if you have shorter lashes this may not be the kind of curler you want. I'd try a small lash curler (tweezerman makes one that looks like a finger nail clipper but with pads). I would recommend this to someone that wants to save some money, has a few extra minutes to work with it, and has average to longer lashes. VS Most Liked Negative Review Broke as using it. Well, I found out today. As I was curling my lashes which I have done time and again for years, the handle broke! It was as I was using it on one of my eyes so it smacked me in my face. I was shocked, a little hurt but relatively "OK" until I looked at the curler then into the mirror. It took completely off ALL OF MY LASHES from the inner corner of my eye to the middle!!!!!! I am devastated right now. Hopefully my eyelashes will grow back to their normal length and fullness. Hopefully. But now I know this: yes, there is a difference when it comes to eyelash curlers, not only in effectiveness, but build quality as well. I have tried a lot of expensive, high-end curlers and my daughter got one of these as a b-day gift. I tried it and OMG it's the best curler I've ever tried! I now have one for myself too and will continue to buy them. Its easy to use, hasn't pinched the skin on my eyelid, curls the lashes perfectly every time! I have really long eye lashes that have a slight natural curl, because they are long they hit the lenses of my glasses. I decided that curling them would help keep them out of the way. I have tried the curler several times and cant see any difference in the curl of my lashes. Now they have changed the rubber piece and it only lasts about one week and then it splits. With the new changes that have been made they went from the best to the worst! Will not try again! That renders the curler USELESS. I know the quality of the cushion has recently degraded to worthless!! Please have the manufacturer go back to the old supplier for the cushion part of this item!!
