I use this to set my foundation and it does a nice job keeping the shine at bay for awhile. I apply it with a puff, then use a powder brush to blend it in. I have yet to find any powder that keeps me shine free all day but this powder is nice and light and doesn't look cakey if I touch up during the day. VS Most Liked Negative Review Thought it was different I thought this would give me a glow and not matte finish. Maybe I read it wrong. Great product if you want oil absorbing but I wanted something that GIVES shine. I thought this would give me a glow and not matte finish. Maybe I read it wrong. Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: I use this over 2 in 1 foundation and pat it, not rub it. Amazing! Natural looking. Very little needed. Lasts longer than one would think. Doesn't get on clothes. My complexion has improved. Best six dollars you will ever spend! Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: I just can't like this I feel like everytime I use it I look dry and kind of cakey looking even a little whiteish I don't know it's weird even just barely putting any on it just makes me look dry. Hate it didn't work for me I really wanted to like it.

Cons
Best Uses Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: Not a huge fan of the ELF brand (love their makeup brushes though). I think their other make up (nail polish, eye shadow, lip gloss) is a little cheap and does not last. I was looking for a translucent powder to set my tinted mosutrizer and this is perfect! I'm not sure how other brands measure up to it but I am satisfied with this one, and you can't beat the price.

Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: I've always had trouble finding a powder that didn't look too dark/orange on my skin. When I saw this, it is so white in the container I was afraid that it would look too theatrical. It goes on great, though, and looks natural. I love it!

Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: I decided to try this, I love it, and I just ordered another as backup. For me, this will replace an expensive, high-end, invisible setting powder. This E.L.F. power isn't just a so-so substitute -- it's as good as any high-end powder I've used, and it costs a tiny fraction of the price. My skin is very oily and I have some fine lines, and this powder blurs the lines and keeps me from getting oily for about four hours. And I love the screw-on lid for travel!

Cons Best Uses
Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: I use this over my under eye concealer to set it. It is amazing. It does not settle in fine lines and does not look powdery. I just bought this after my usual powder was discontinued. I thought it would be too light - but it isn't. I will definitely buy it again.

Cons Best Uses Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: Performs just like the MakeUp Forever translucent powder but for a fraction of the cost. A little goes a long way and it mattifies any oily areas. It is finely milled and lightweight, you really have to overdo it to look powdery.

Cons Best Uses Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: This is a really great quality powder that leaves a matte finish and helps my foundation last longer.

Cons Best Uses
Comments about e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder, .28 oz: I use a tapered face brush to apply it to my t-zone and under eyes. I have combination skin and this prevents my oily areas from getting shiny. It's so lightweight and does not leave a white cast like MakeUp Forever's HD powder. Also, it's a STEAL. You get tons of product and it's great quality. Everyone should have this in their collection.
