My hands get very dry and cracked during the winter. I had been using the Shikai borage hand cream but discovered that it contains parabens (unlike the body lotion from the same line, which is safe), so it was time to find a new everyday hand cream. I bought this primarily because the ingredients are safe according to the EWG Skin Deep website, and the price is good for the amount (a little goes a long way!). The lotion is very thick and takes some time and rubbing to absorb. It moisturizes well, and once it's absorbed it's not greasy. I'm not fond of the smell, which reminds me of licorice, but I can live with that in exchange for the safety and effectiveness.
