I have always had skin bumps (chicken skin?) on my legs and on the back of my arms and this product has brought them down considerably in only one week! But I've also paired it with Nature's Gate Colloidal Moisturizing Lotion (also reviewed) in my new shower routine. The only drawback is that I may have to stock up as only one week has melted away about half of the bar contents. I won't mind though because it works wonderfully! I prefer my soaps to be more scrubby, but this seemed to start off really nice and scrubby the first few uses and as I got closer to the center of the soap the scrubby bits seemed to lessen. Maybe I just got unlucky. It's also a bit drying, but I think that is a common issue with bar soaps, especially those that lather quite a bit. Not too big a deal, I just have to spend a few extra minutes slapping on moisturizer after my shower. Gentle formula. Does get soft if left in the shower, so allow to dry out after use so the bar will last longer. Pros

The fragrance is unique and is one of my favorites. The local store where I used to buy this soap stopped carrying it so I'm very happy I found it at drugstore.com! Pros

Most other exfoliating soaps exfoliated chemically, rather than physically, which I didn't like - I didn't notice a difference on my skin. This one had loofah and oatmeal "bits" inside of it which do well physically exfoliating skin. It smells wonderful, too. The only reason why I gave it four rather than five stars was because my original soap smelled of peppermint, and I really grew to love that. This is a great replacment, though. |
