They close tightly and seem easy to use. There may be better ones but these are pretty good. If you drop them you do run the risk of lowering their quality. He hates this, as you might imagine. I haven't tried them on him yet, but tried them on myself and felt only slightly softer edges. Still, even a slightly softer edge will help my Poodle remain calm during grooming. For humans, I think that this is a good product. With my old ones, i had trouble getting smaller stray hairs. With these, it's no problem: they get the hair on the first tweeze. You won't be sorry if you purchase these.
