I bought this brush for dry skin brushing. It serves that purpose completely. It did have a slight odor when I first got it-- I believe it was due to what the bristles are made of. I soaked the head in water with a splash of apple cider vinegar and a drop of lavender essential oil and it was gone. I use it every day and wash it once a week. I bought it in the middle of February and it still is like new.

I use this for dry brushing 2 times a day before my shower in the morning and before I go to bed at night. I found this very affective in getting rid of dead skin cells. At first the bristles kind of hurt but over time I got used to it. I wouldn't pick anything softer because I don't think it would work as hard to scrub off dead skin. When I run through the bristles under a light, I can see skin particles flying off of the brush. This brush works very well as a back scratcher, too! My skin's now softer than before and I don't even use lotion. The only problem is this brush sheds a little.

I bought it after reading the reviews and because it was natural. My husband used it first and told me it was kinda rough. I tried it today, once it touches my back, it causes so much pain. I can't even move it on my back. But if you have good tolerance for pain, I can see it cleans well. I am going to buy a new brush in store so I can make sure it's soft enough for me.

This works just fine. It's a little scratchy at first, so be careful. But after several uses you will get used to it and it won't be so bad. I don't know if all dry brushes work this way, this is the first one I have used, so i don't know if this typical of all dry brushes or not. But I will continue to use it. It does work.

This is one of the worst purchases I've ever made from Drugstore.com. I picked this brush because it had four stars. Who ARE you people? This brush hurt so bad I thought I would have a bloody back after a few seconds. Seriously - save your money and just grab some sandpaper out of your garage. You will get the same effect. I'm not exaggerating - the bristles on this thing caused me severe physical pain.

I have purchased many back brushes and they all seem to be flimsy bristles. This brush is VERY firm and creates an invigorating scrub. No other brush will do but this one, and that is why I am buying another for my teens who are getting backne.

I have lots of dry skin... this really helps with my exfoliation efforts. I didn't find the brush too rough at all.... could be a wee bit rougher for my purpose and needs.

I have had this product for two weeks and I shake the excess water off after every use and hang dry it. The bristles are already rotting with mildew and turning black. Which surprised me because my bathroom is really very clean and I don't have a mildew/mold problem. Maybe that is a draw back of all natural untreated products?? I will probably end up throwing it out since I can't use harsh chemicals to clean it and then use it on my skin which will cause irritation. Maybe if you use your hair dryer or something to get it dry immediately after use, it would last longer?? I just don't have time for that.
