We're used to the way chemical drain cleaners work. Pour it down the drain and wait for the solvents to take effect. Using the natural process of enzymes to break down organic matter may take slightly longer. Earthworm® Family-Safe Drain Cleaner needs time to liquefy grease, fats and other organic waste. Since it will not dissolve non-organic material, the remaining debris must be flushed away with running water (as it is no longer held in place by the organic compounds).

While Earthworm Septic contains natural ingredients, if it is accidentally ingested drink large quantities of milk and water and seek medical attention. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If irritation develops, seek medical attention.
Do not use in contact with acid or alkaline drain openers or bleach, as they will lessen Earthworm's ability to work effectively. Do not store in extreme heat (over 100° F) or cold (under 32° F)

I hate using chemicals in my home because they're so bad for the environment. I find that Earthworm drain cleaner helps keep my drains from clogging when used regularly. Initially I had a very slow running drain and unfortunately I had to use a stronger product to resolve that issue. But from that point on I used Earthworm and it's kept my drain clear.
I use this when I notice my drains are running a bit slow. I've only needed one application to get them back up to speed. I don't know how it would work on heavy duty clogs since I use it before there's a bad problem. I like that it's non-toxic so safe for the pipes and the cat. Unlike Drano, Liquid Plumber, etc., you can even recycle the bottle it comes in.
This product didn't work and Draino seems to no longer be sold. The hardest part is you are supposed to use this product 5 days in a row. So I did this and paid for it, poured it in every day, then dealt with a very slow drain for 5 days, and there is no change. And they recommend using a plunger in addition to it. Doesn't this defeat the purpose. Regardless, didn't work at all on a slow drain. Bought Draino, worked in 15 min.
Shake well before using, settling of natural ingredients is normal.
For Slow Drains: Pour 6-8 ounces down your drain 3-5 nights in a row when you are done using the drain for the evening. This will allow Earthworm® to work when the drain is inactive (while you sleep). Then use 3-5 ounces three times a week.
Regular Maintenance for Drains: Pour 6-8 oz. of Earthworm® directly into drain. Using Earthworm® twice weekly keeps your drains free of clogs and smelling fresh.
Garbage Disposals: Pour 4-8 oz. of Earthworm® directly into disposal. Using Earthworm® 2-3 times per week keeps your disposals clean, clear and smelling fresh.
