I talked to 7th Generation and they said they have had the same complaints about their dishwasher products. They were very nice and sent me "coupons" for their other products(I do like their Eucalyptus/Lavendar laundry detergent. They had offered me a refund, but I asked if the coupon would get me more money. I got a GREAT deal since they sent me a coupon for a FREE bottle of detergent. At [...] only they sell a LARGER bottle of 7th Generation laundry detergent for $14.99. So I really made out!)As for the Ecover Tabs....THEY are the ONLY thing that works for us. They don't leave residue like all the other natural dishwasher products we've tried..and we've tried them ALL! The tabs seem to work better than Ecover's powder. I had thought that it would be more economical to use the Ecover Powder but it doesn't work as well as the Ecover tabs. I wondered why...and I looked at the ingredients and they aren't the same. I noticed the Ecover tabs had I think it said "oxygenated bleach". You can peek at the ingredients on this site. So I am sticking to the Ecover TABS! Perhaps it's my fault for not thoroughly reading the product description and reviews, but WHY are they individually wrapped in PLASTIC??? Such a waste. Ecover should be ashamed. The product itself works well, but not any better than Seventh Generation or Method. Definitely will never purchase again until they change their packaging. Pros

I tried a Cascade ActionPac recently, to compare, and honestly I felt my Ecover tablets work as well if not better. A bit pricey and sometimes difficult to find locally, but these tablets are worth it. Pros

Cons Best Uses Comments about Ecover Ecological Dishwasher Tablets, 17.6 oz: This is a great product. I've tried many Eco-friendly dish washing products, and this is by far the best that I've found. I've tested it thoroughly. I usually have to wash my dishes before they even go into the washer, but I've washed several loads with dried/caked on food and they've come out clean. The reason I didn't give it five stars is sometimes there will be powder residue on my dishes and silverware will occasionally come out with dried food still stuck on it, but overall I'm very happy with this product. |
