Ecover is just as effective as the traditional dish soaps (Dawn, Palmolive, etc) however, it never leaves the skin on my hands dry or cracked like they did...especially in the winter. And now my favorite wooden cutting board is reeking of onion and garlic. Still trying to remove the smell, really hoping I don't have to throw it out. This just doesn't get the job done in a real kitchen. I'm going to use it as hand soap in the bathroom instead. A little goes a long way: it makes lots of suds, cuts grease, and rinses clean. I have also used it to wash hands and face when I ran out of hand soap. It doesn't have a strong scent and is made of natural ingredients, which is good for people with sensitivities. Highly recommended. Pros

To do a small sinkful of dishes I need 5-7 squeezes - this soap barely has any suds or lasting power and cleans ridiculously poorly, especially on really greasy items. It simply does not wash off anything greasy in one go. As a result, I'll need to buy more dishwashing liquid after having purchased this just three weeks ago... and I was on vacation for one of those weeks. Pros

Gets rid of the grease, but gentle enough to be used for laundaring cross stich projects. Gets out hard water stains too. Pros
