I have used Ecover's Delicate Wash detergent for years and loved it. However, I purchased a new bottle and it reeked of perfume/fragrance. I washed the clothes and so much fragrance was left behind, I will need to wash them again with another detergent. The fragrance doesn't even smell natural, it smells synthetic.

I called Ecover and confirmed they had in fact made a change to the product. The response was "scent is subjective". I was baffled at this response as most environmentally minded people tend to want less fragrance, not more. I asked if this was in response to customer demand and was told it was a business decision.

I will be returning this and will choose another product. Truly unfortunate.

I have been using this product for several years and have liked it. The most recent bottle has an overpowering floral scent that will NOT rinse out, even after several cyles adding some borx to help. YUCK. They must have changed something. Bummed, because it was a really good product before.

So far we've liked this product. It cleans our dainties well and doesn't fade the delicates.

This smells great and works very well on lingerie or cashmere. I use it with the cold setting, hang things dry and they aren't crunchy feeling. pricey, but good quality.

I was a faithful Woolite user for my delicates, but wanted to go more eco-friendly. When I saw this, I thought I would try it. And I am so glad I did. It works great. I hand-wash my delicates and have not had a problem. Everything looks and feels so clean. The price is actually decent for an environmentally friendly product.

This works really well and is eco friendly - it is not the best for really stains, but works well for general delicate cleaning - machine or hand wash. Ecover is the best eco-friendly brand I have used.

I've been using it to wash my wool that I use for cloth diaper covers. It cleans the wool wonderfully.

I wanted to like this, I really did. I love Ecover's fabric softener, and I needed a gentler detergent to machine wash my more delicate clothes. This isn't it. I put in a shirt that had a spot of something on the sleeve (I figured there was no need to pretreat, it flaked off and wasn't a stain,) and it came out with the same flaky spot, slightly diminished. I rewashed the clothes with regular detergent and it came right out. The only reason this got two stars was because it may be effective for hand washing, I didn't want to knock it since I didn't try it.

In an effort to try and cut down on my dry cleaning bill I bought this to hand wash things that I would usually dry clean and love it. I now hand wash almost all of my shirts and they are super clean and soft. One of the things I like the best is that it does not get really foamy and it easily rinses out of clothing. Sometimes I just fill the sink with cold water and let the clothes soak and all the soap is gone in 15-20 minutes, without any effort. I am almost done with my first bottle and I'm going to buy more, I love this product!
