Haruyo Morita was born in Kita-Katsushia County, Saitama Prefecture, in 1945. Her artistic talents were evident from an early age and she was later tutored by Master Husuki. He introduced her to classic Japanese narratives and pictorial compositions that have made Japanese images so popular both in Japan and in the West. Her work can best be describes as a contemporary representation of the traditional Ukiyo-e and is evident in the stunning image of this beautiful 1000 piece puzzle.
