EltaMD™ UV Sport SOF 50 is specially formulated for active lifestyles. It is a very water resistant sunscreen, that will not rinse off in water or drip into the eyes and sting. Perfect for use by outdoor athletes and safe for all skin types. Great for children. The EltaMD™ UV Sport utilizes 9% micronized zinc oxide that is transparent on the skin. This provides very strong protection from UVA (aging) rays and provides an SPF 50 to protect from the UVB (burning) rays.
Warnings
For external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Discontinue use if signs of irritation appear. Children under 6 months of age, consult your doctor. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center immediately. Sun protection measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. and wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. I was looking for a non-toxic non-greasy highly waterproof sunscreen, and my friend, who is a dermatologist, gave me a sample of this stuff, which I used for ultra marathon races above 10,000 ft. altitude. I put it on once in the morning, and raced for 11 hours without having to reapply. And, I didn't feel that plastic clogged feeling most sunscreens of this caliber include. Without the nasty chemicals. This stuff is Zinc based.
