I used this product about 10 years ago when I had symptoms of early pre-menopause. It was recommended in a book called "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Pre-Menopause." It worked beautifully for me then, and now that I am actually starting pre-menopause, I started it up again.

I have more energy and my metabolism seems to have kicked into a higher gear (which is what made me think of this in the first place).

I don't need much right now, so I use it about 3 times a week and a little less than their recommended dime-size amount.

Give it a try - you may have to adjust the dosage to meet your needs, since everyone reacts differently to any type of medication.

I put the creme on the inside of my elbow twice a day. I started feeling more of my old self with one week of using the product. There is a little odor to the creme, but that is a small price to pay in my opinion.

I've used Pro-Gest for 12 years, since having complete hysterectomy with ovarian removal at age 36 due to endometriosis. As many women do after having ovaries removed, within a few months I was having severe night sweats and hot flashes, I began using ONLY Pro-Gest then (no estrogen to prevent the possibility of recurring endo), within two weeks of using both symptoms were gone completely.

The company that makes Pro-Gest, Emerita has been in business since the 70's and is women owned. Nice! Pro-Gest also contains no parabens, to me this is a superior product and company that I trust.

I'm post-menopausal and suffer from hot flashes and night sweats. Within two days of starting this, I slept through the night for the first in time in years. I couldn't believe it and couldn't be happier. After a couple of weeks, daytime hot flashes also cooled down.

I get the feeling that women are using progesterone cream to fix all sorts of problems without being very scientific about it. Supplemental progesterone can help IF you have low progesterone. Best to verify this with hormone tests, unless you are in your 40's or 50's and you're experiencing irregular periods, in which case low progesterone is pretty much guaranteed. I got great relief from perimenopausal problems (irregular periods, insomnia, excessive anger, palpitations, body temp control issues) using this cream alone for more than 2 years and only wish I'd started using it sooner. Now I'm supplementing estradiol and still use the Pro-Gest cream, and I'm doing very well. Highly recommended.

I did not like the smell... it smells like stale cigarette smoke. I have used it faithfully for two weeks and have had little relief from night sweats.

I really didn't think this product would work well or at all, but the FIRST DAY I used it my hot flashes were virtually gone (I think I had 1 but it was so subtle, I may have just been warm). I slept unbroken for the first night in a long time. It's unbelievable and more than worth the cost.

I don't like that it's lemon scented, and it does take a little longer to dissolve into the skin. The Progest brand helps some of my symptoms, but not as well as I would like. I'll be looking for another brand of progesterone cream after I finish the 2 that I now have.
