It is recommended to use twice a day but I only use it at night now for maintenance and it works great for stopping hot flashes. I was having severe night sweats and this stopped them after a couple of months (using twice a day). I continue to use it and it has kept them away.

My first perimenopause symptoms started about a year ago, at 42. I started having severe breast pain for 3 weeks a month, irregular periods when I had always been regular like clockwork, and worse than usual PMS mood swings. After using it for two months, I can see that it has helped to regulate my mood swings. If hasn't done much for my bloating and breast pain––so far.

The perforation at the top of the capsule can be very difficult for me to tear open. If it doesn't tear open at first, turn it around and tear it from the opposite direction. If that doesn't work, I resort to using scissors.

Other than the problems I have trying to tear them open and the fact that they can be found cheaper online, they seem to be okay.

I was taking black cohash and soy vitamins for the hot flashes and they didn't work. My sister recommended this product, and I was at a point were I was willing to do just about anything to get rid of the hot flashes. The first week of use, I didn't see much difference. It was only during the second week that I noticed that I didn't get as many hot flashes and they weren't as severe. (I would just break out dripping sweat on the spot!) I am now starting my third week and have only had a few instances of discomfort - but nothing like before. So, I have already placed my order for my second box. This is a product that I would recommend to all who have severe hot flashes! I take Vitamin D for the mood swings, so I can't tell if this product helps with that or not.
