I am on day 6 of a 14-day course of antibiotics (metronidazole and oflaxacin), both of whose #1 side effects are NAUSEA (and vomiting). I haven't had vomiting, but I've had stomach upset non-stop, and today had severe nausea and pain for 3+ hours straight. I sent my boyfriend to the store to get this (I'd seen it in the store before and thought I'd give it a shot--especially since the thought of taking Pepto, even in pill form, made me queasy). I was beginning to feel a little bit better when I took it (2 spoonfuls) and was able to get out of bed again in minutes. I was still a bit queasy 45 minutes later, so I took another couple spoonfuls, and the nausea went away almost immediately. I'm almost back to 100%! The taste isn't too bad--bittersweet and feels kind of "spicy" or bubbly on my tongue and on the way down. But you don't have to take a large dose all at once (or at all really). I'm so thrilled that this seems to work b/c I have a terrible vomit-phobia, and it's good to know there's something out there that "cures" nausea! The true test will be how it stands up against a stomach flu......

Everytime I ride in a car for over an hour I get car sick.
I have been using Emetrol for over 5 years and carry it with me on all car trips. If you don't have a measuring spoon, you can take a sip right out of the bottle. The taste isn't too bad and it settles your stomach.

Best product for nausea. I understand that some cancer patients use Emetrol. Liquid easy to get down and quick response.

I have a pinched nerve that causes almost daily nausea and vomiting, and this stuff has a been a lifesaver. It does work, and quickly. The only trouble is that you have to drink it, and its cherry - not so fun when your nauseated, but if you get it down, it does the job. I highly recommend, and have as a nurse to others.

I suffer from constant nausea from a hiatal hernia and I have never found something OTC that works as well as Emetrol. Within 15- 20 minutes after taking it, my queasy stomach really starts to settle down. Even with stomach flu at it's worst, I have never thrown up after taking this product. I rarely need to take a 2nd dose. I always have 2 bottles in my cuboard at all times. Only downfall is the taste is super sweet flavor, but if you can look past that it's wonderful. Fully deserves a 5 star rating!!

I took this to combat morning sickness and it was very helpful at calming my churning stomach. I appreciate that it can be taken during pregnancy. One star off for not being that effective if you have more severe or rapid nausea.

Provided immediate relief to my little ones, and they seemed to like the taste. No downside to the ingredients. A keeper in the house to be sure!

A lot of times the first dose comes back up, that's pretty common, so try again. It usually works the 2nd time. It is a good product, although I am going to see if Prelief works as well, since it contains more phosphorous.

I agree that Emetrol works great, I have used it many times myself. My only complaint is the "red dye #40" that they add. My pre-schooler couldn't keep the first dose down, and now I have red dye to clean off the carpet.
