For years I've used creams and waxes to tame a secret little embarrassing goatee of coarse hairs. There are great reviews of it online but I had trouble believing anything that yanks my hair out could really be painless. When I turned it on the first time, it seemed loud and scary. I tested it on my arm first while praying it didn't rip my skin apart. There was no pain and the fine arm hairs were easily removed. Whew! Feeling more confident, I moved to my chin area. Its important to follow directions - light strokes and hold the skin taut. It removed coarse, dark hair from my chin with no pain and no irritation. Seriously, I'm a big baby when it comes to pain and it didn't hurt a bit. Much easier and more pleasant than tweezers! To give a fair review, I also tried it on a more sensitive area where I'm only used to shaving - the bikini area. In that area, I could feel it. It removed the hair easily but there was a bit of discomfort. Each hair that was removed felt like a tiny little pinch or sting that lasted literally about a second. It gets better each time you use it, your skin just needs time to adjust to the hair being removed. I'm still shocked that its so easy and comfortable to use. I love how smooth it leaves my skin. Its awesome to just slide it over my chin when needed then not think about it again for awhile. All the fear I had of pain and skin ripping was for nothing and I MEAN THAT!

Well I got this item and I know that it pulls the hair out by the root but lol it still hurts a lot when u have not waxed in a long time so give this item a chance and after a while it won't hurt that much.
It dues work really well as far as getting ride of unwanted hair and o right if skin get irritated use some aloe vera gel but not the cheap stuff use the organic stuff there is less stuff in it that will just make ur skin even more irritated ok.

Excellent for Bikini Area!First time is painful. (recommend buying skin numbing cream for first-time use). Also recommend spending about 10min/day for about a week, because first time use you will see backlogged hairs pop out daily (hourly, it seems). Also, this will minimize pain per sesion. After the first round, there is no pain! After this, it's Easy! Every week or so take 1 session at 5-10 minutes. You'll never have stubble. And it does Not Hurt anymore! :) What grows in is Very Fine, and grows in only a few at a time.I find it's the perfect size for bikini area. I had the original epilator by Emjoi, which was great for my lets, but it's head was too wide, and was inneffective at the bikini line, or underarms. This one is Perfect!If you have much leg hair, the small size of this model will make shaving your legs more time consuming than if you use one of the wider models with maximum number of tweezers, but either way, it's still way better than shaving daily! I have minimal hair on my lges (once I began using the epilator instead of a razor, it grows back slow, and as fine blonde hairs that are difficult to see/feel anyway.) But I would optionally recommend buying one of the larger models In Addition to this one for the legs, if it proves to impatient to keep up with using this version. In that case also be sure to buy one that does Not run on batteries: Either buy one that is Re-Chargeable or a wall-plug in unit.The only Drawback to this model is that it runs on regular AA batteries. This gets expensive in the long run. Rechargeable batteries do not have enough juice to be as effective. This model does Not come in a reghargeable or plug-in model :(.But No Other model can be used in the tub. And I don't remember seeing one This Size that was rechargeable or plugged in the wall. So given that, This is still my first choice. Just wish I had re-chargeable option ;)I love that I can use it in the shower.I find that it is most effective on Clean, Dry skin. This means No Lotions, etc. So best used just after a shower (or just before a shower if I haven't exercized or put lotion on). But it's nice to use it in the tub (especially if you can keep the area dry until you're done) because it keeps the "mess" contained. Of course after the first use, there is not much mess to worry about, so less relevant where you epillate.The portability and size of this model is terrific. This model is More Effective than their original model. It's less noisy as well.Battery life is the only drawback, which can add expense over time. But still worth it!
