Comments about Emjoi Emagine 4Men Epilator, Model AP-18MS, 1 ea:

The device broke after 5 months use and the warranty means nothing as they say that the vendor will take care of any warranty but drugstore.com doesn't.

Comments about Emjoi Emagine 4Men Epilator, Model AP-18MS, 1 ea:

I am a very hairy guy. I used this to get rid of all of the hair on my legs and thighs, hoping that I can grow back some of it in a month or so and look like a moderately hairy man rather than a dog.

This thing is much more painful that waxing, especially around the knees, it felt like holding my legs under boiling water the first time. It was very effective, however. I don't mind pain, but lanocaine takes the edge off. The skin irritation only lasted for a day or two. I imagine it will be less painful the next time around because there will be fewer hairs to pluck. (Also, I imagine it would be less painful for a man who isn't as hairy as a dog.)

I'd like to use it on my chest and abdomen, but I will definitely use lanocaine for that.

Most of the hairs were yanked out, but it seems about a quarter to a third were snapped. This mean there is some stubble after a week, but I want to be somewhat hairy anyway.

I've tried waxing, shaving, and Nair for men. Waxing is messier and less effective as well as expensive (the strips add up). Shaving is much less effective and very irritating for my skin. Nair is ineffective, stinks, and very, very irritating for my skin (basically if I want it to be effective, I have to leave it on until my skin melts).

By far, this is the best hair removal option I've ever tried. If you don't mind occasional (quite intense pain) in exchange for looking good, I HIGHLY recommend this thing. I wish I had bought one ten years ago.
