My major concern was pain. That was not really an issue, in some places it stung but nothing intolerable. There are only two working heads on this model so it is not quick. What surprised me was that it seemed to clip off the hair but not pull it out. It also missed a lot. I used it on my face and overall I don't think the experiment worked very well . Additionally it irritated my skin, leaving it with small bumps like a plucked chicken and redness. Ick. Back to shaving for me. Reviewed by 78 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 11-20 Pros Cons

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: Don't use this if you have sensitive skin or just want to remove a few hairs. I also think it is better for a man who shaves regularly and has rougher skin and a full beard to shave. It actually bruised my skin so I am going back to the cheap single blade razors. It's targeted towards women but I am going to look for a product that actuall works for women. Pros

Best Uses Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: Well I decided to try this product out today at the store so I bought it. The pain is tolerable, but the epilator irritates my skin and makes it red. Besides that, I also think that it does not clean up little hairs in small amounts of strokes. You need to hold it on your skin and doing circles but it constantly misses some hairs unfortunately. But after all it does what it should do. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: i recommend this product. i have unsightly dark hair above my upper lip that made me very self conscious. I was tweezing, but that wasnt sufficent , so i deceided to give this product a go and am very happy with the results. The first 2 or 3 times was uncomfortable. There was a fair amount of stinging but i plodded along, just using it a little at a time. The results were worth the sting. Now, after using this hair remover about 5 times, there is no more pain. I still have to tweeze a few stray hairs but overall it takes care of the problem. well worth the [$]! Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: This product works well on my stray hairs and helps keep the area between my eyebrows clean. It will take some getting used to at first because its basically 'yanking' your hair out from the roots. Its only a slight quick pain though and you'll only experience it the first couple of times you use it. Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I found this works fine for the shorter thinner hairs near the outside of my bikini line or those stragglers on the back of my legs and underarms. It would not pull the coarser hair at the bikini line. Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I bought this about 3yrs ago. Keep in mind that I've got thick and dark hair. I began using this after I got sick of shaving my armpits all the time. It works well for getting stragglers left behind by wax jobs, as well as extending your current wax. Now, I mostly use it after bikini and underarm waxes. It takes far too long to use this on your legs (I tried once). I think it works best if you've had the hair removed once already (I waxed)--because yes, it does hurt. The pinching/burning sensation does subside with more use, but for me, it's never been painless. BUT--the hair stays gone for much longer, it does come back thinner, and I think it's ultimately less painful than waxing, since it doesn't pull your skin. Displaying reviews 11-20 ![]() |
