My major concern was pain. That was not really an issue, in some places it stung but nothing intolerable. There are only two working heads on this model so it is not quick. What surprised me was that it seemed to clip off the hair but not pull it out. It also missed a lot. I used it on my face and overall I don't think the experiment worked very well . Additionally it irritated my skin, leaving it with small bumps like a plucked chicken and redness. Ick. Back to shaving for me. Reviewed by 78 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 21-30 Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: My first epilator. Pretty good. Definitely more convenient than tweezers and more effective than a razor. Misses a few hairs here and there, esp. in the underarm area b/c it's hard to hold skin taut their. Overall though, pleased with the product. Pros Cons

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I've been through it all to deal with embarrassing facial hair--and epilators are DA BOMB. Wish I'd discovered them years ago! I'm a regular user of plug-in models, but my hubby likes to travel by motorcycle and camp in the rough. I've always hated it, knowing that my facial hair was growing and I wouldn't be able to pluck,so I had to take along disposable razors and hope no one would notice my stubble. Now, I put new batteries in this Holy Grail, pop it in a saddlebag, and I'm more than happy to be on the road with him. It's changed our lives. It took away a problem that I couldn't discuss openly with him, which then caused tension between us. I could NOT be happier with this invention--the inventor deserves a Nobel Prize, as far as I'm concerned. Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I bought this to take care of those sparse, but unwanted hairs on my chin, and it is perfect for that purpose. It causes slight pain as the hairs are being pulled, but that's to be expected. It left no redness behind. Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I lost my last epilator in a move and haven't been able to find one equal to it's quality. I use this Emjoi Epi for facial moustache and chin hair and it works great! It removes the hair completely. I'd be lying if I said it doesn't hurt but what do you expect when hair is being pulled out by the root? I need to use it about every 3 to 4 weeks. This product is perfect for my needs and I'm glad i finally found it. Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: This is a great product. I can't believe how it just plucked my chin hairs right out of the roots, thus decreasing the time it would've taken me to manually pluck the hairs. I'm use to plucking, so for me there was really no pain. Keep in mind that the hairs has to be a little long to be able to have the full affect. Overall, I'm glad I purchased the Epi. Pros

Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I actually take the time to use this on my legs. After 20 something years of shaving, I think I've figured out how to do it without cutting myself, so that was not the issue for me. My problem with shaving was that the second I stepped out of my nice, hot shower, I would get goose-bumps & my leg hair would come back just a little. This little miracle yanks the hair out by the root, so the hair doesn't grow back right away. Unfortunately, that means that when it does start to grow back, it does so from under your skin, so it can be a little itchy. But in the meantime, I can actually have smooth skin for a few days! And the regrowth is not a coarse as the shaving regrowth. Its a little smoother. I love this product Displaying reviews 21-30 ![]() |
