My major concern was pain. That was not really an issue, in some places it stung but nothing intolerable. There are only two working heads on this model so it is not quick. What surprised me was that it seemed to clip off the hair but not pull it out. It also missed a lot. I used it on my face and overall I don't think the experiment worked very well . Additionally it irritated my skin, leaving it with small bumps like a plucked chicken and redness. Ick. Back to shaving for me. Since it grabs fewer hairs than a regular sized epilator, it's gentler to use. And the size is perfect for using in a tight area like my upper lip. Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I like this- I use it to remove the fine hairs above my upper lip and it tears them right out. It stings a little bit because it's hard to get the skin pulled tight in that area. Still, it beats the pain of plucking. Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I bought this for use on the bikini area thinking the small size would be better than the full size ones. I guess my hair is too thick or it could be the concave surface of the tweezing disks- all in all, the bikini was a failure with this product. However, it was great on my underarms. My hair there is thinner because I have had a couple of laser treatments. I am a huge proponent of epilation (I have a Braun plug in full size model that I LOVE) but this product is probably best suited for thinner or finer hair. Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: This is the best product I've ever used to remove the hair on my upper lip. Period. Waxes and strips were messy and would leave a bunch of stray hairs; there was no way I could get them all with tweezers. Depilatory creams would give me a rash, so I couldn't use them. I bought one of these to take on a long trip with me, intending to use it for my bikini line and underarms. I decided to give it a shot on my upper lip, and WOW! It got EVERYTHING, and I love it! Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I originally purchased this for the bikini area and underarm area. I think my hair is just way too thick. It hurt SO bad and gave me ingrown hairs. I have been using in on the nipple area though, because its a lot faster than tweezing. Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: Ouch! This thing really hurts, but it gets the job done on my mustache! I'd really rather do this than wax. Anyway, is there really a way to remove facial hair (or hair in general) with no pain? I recommend this to anyone who needs to get rid of annoying facial hair. Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: This works great! I even use it for my underarms, the first time was a bit painful, but after that your hair grows back finer and since the hair is less visible, you don't have to use it as often as you shave. I've thrown out my razor! Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: This thing is great for that dirty little secret, facial hair. After years of using everything known to man this little gizmo suddenly makes it a non-problem. Wish I'd found it years ago. Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: I couldn't be happier. Works great for those random stray facial hairs and other body hair patches you wish would go away. It's a bit too small for large, thick patches like underarms, but otherwise it does the trick. A very good value, too! Comments about Emjoi Epi Travel Hair Remover, Battery Operated, Model AP9LC, 1 ea: It didn't really work for me. I have extremely coarse hair. Even with long hairs, it would only tweeze about 25% of them, at best. Good concept, but needs to be adapted for coarse hair. Displaying reviews 41-50 ![]() |
