This product is so great that I bought a few for other people, too. This is good on both coarse and fine hair.

The first week, I just cleared a few hairs at a time, not trying to cover the whole area at once. By the 2nd week, I could use it everywhere on the same go, because half the hair hadn't grown back and there wasn't much to pull.

After about a month, I noticed that I really didn't need to use it every day. This amazed me, because I'd been using an electric shaver TWICE a day.

Some hairs don't grow back for ages, and the ones that do always grow in softer and wispier at the points, rather than thick, blunt, and prickly like they do when shaved. This is a million times better than any shaving (blade or electric), and there is no nasty chemical smell like with hair removal creams. Wonderful.

Warning: Being greatly enthused about this product, I later bought the top of the line rechargeable cordless Emjoi Light Caress, knowing it has twice as many tweezer blades and thinking it would be speedier and not need batteries. That more expensive product was a disappointment. The fancy gold-plated tweezer wheels are not as precision alligned on that expensive product as the stainless steel tweezers are on this wonderful little bargain. The more expensive product pinches.

I much prefer this little battery operated model, which can be used without discomfort. I'm tempted to buy a stockpile of them so I'll be sure to have some in 30 or 40 years, even if the company goes out of business. I never want to be without one of these.

Never tried anything like this before so opted for the least expensive machine as a trial. My major concern was pain. That was not really an issue, in some places it stung but nothing intolerable. There are only two working heads on this model so it is not quick. What surprised me was that it seemed to clip off the hair but not pull it out. It also missed a lot. I used it on my face and overall I don't think the experiment worked very well . Additionally it irritated my skin, leaving it with small bumps like a plucked chicken and redness. Ick. Back to shaving for me.

I bought this to try it out before potentially buying a larger (and more expensive) model. I used it for the first time today. Oof it hurts. I found it was slightly more painful than waxing. I would recommend showering or taking a hot bath first to make it a little less painful (dry off completely before using).
Overall, a good investment, and I will be buying a larger one eventually :-)

This works very well on facial hair (including very fine and short hairs) and bikini hair. It has paid for itself with the wax strips I did not have to buy.

I have very fine, blond hair. It does not remove the hair, just breaks it off. I suppose it would pull out the hair if more coarse. I still use it and like it.

I just used my new Emjoi hair remover and it HURTS, but it does take the hair away. I woke up the next day and had bumps on the areas I used it. Maybe I just have sensitive skin, but the bumps are large and itchy. I don't know if I should use it again or not. Maybe just not on my face.

Love it! I bought this product because I wasn't sure how effective it would be, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the larger, more expensive models. I'm amazed at how well it removes hair. I'm definitely going to buy a larger Epilady.
For those who are unfamiliar to waxing or tweezing; this product is painful at first. You're pulling the hair out by the root. It's just like when you're brushing your hair and you accidentally pull a strand out. It hurts. The only difference is that you're pulling hair out from places that are not so familiar to that sensation. Also, it helps to pull the skin taut and make sure to exfoliate to prevent ingrown hairs. ...BEFORE YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT. My suggestion is to manually tweeze a bit of the area where you are thinking about using this product. If you can stand the initial pain, then you'll know whether or not the Epi Travel is something you might like to try.

This is the first time using an epilator, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I purchased this for the purpose of using it on my biniki region, which is why I choose one with a smaller tweezing head. I read the directions and first did it on the back of my hand and it didn't hurt at all. Then I tried it on my leg/ankle and MAN THAT HURT! I then tried it on my bikini area and it really wasn't bad at all. I was able to shave the region to a small "landing strip" in one session, and the skin wasn't red or irritated at all. I highly recommend this product for smaller areas, like the bikini area and armpits (I'd get a larger one for legs) or for touch ups while traveling.

INCREDIBLE!!! I LOVE IT! Since laser hair removal isn't an option, this is the next best thing, maybe even better--and definitely cheaper!!! I can't rave enough.

Hurts but works! This product does well, but painless?? I think not! Maybe because it's my first time having my hair being pulled out from the roots, but I like it so far.

This is a great product. I wish I had known about it earlier. It would have saved me lots of time and headache of shaving and waxing. I am so motivated to be hair-free now, just because of this product. It hurts a bit the first time, but the pain really goes away as you use it regularly. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying out epilators for the frist time. I just order a slighly big epilator for my legs. This product will make a believer out of you.

This thing is great! I use it on my face and legs. It hurts the first time you use it, but it's less irritating than wax because you control how much hair to remove at once. It's BETTER than wax because it removes even very short hair! Warning: This device is addictive. Anytime you see a little hair you'll be whipping it out and firing it up.
