The best I used so far, fast and doesn't pinch. Wish it would work a little better for bikini area, though. The surface is too rounded for that, but it works, too. For the rest, legs, armpit, it's great.

i use it once in a week, when the hair comes back it is really soft. the first time it wuld hurt a little a bit but after then it doesn't hurt at all and it feels really good doing it.

I use the emjoi on my underarms, bikini line, and legs. I don't wax or shave anymore. My hair doesn't grow back for a long time and when it does, it comes back very fine. Sometimes I do get occasional ingrown hairs, but I just use witchhazel before and after and that usually will keep them away. Other than that I love my emjoi and can't function without it.

I had a larger Emjoi model and liked it. So I was hesitant to try a new one. This one is wonderful! Less discomfort, quicker, lighter - all around an excellent buy!

Bought the Emjoi in November and have had great success using it on my legs. I started with my knees then worked my way down in 2 minute per leg sessions daily until all the hair was gone. Do not try to go at it all at once. I use a buff puff to exfoliate my body and keep ingrown hairs at bay. My legs are super soft! Can't wait for summer!

NEWBIES, HERE ARE SOME HELPFUL TIPS:
I have had my Emjoi Optima for 5 or 6 years. It still works very well. The trick is to BUY REPLACEMENT HEADS!!! The motor works but the tweezers wear out. You can buy a replacement head from the Emjoi website which is a much better deal than replacing the whole thing every few years. A trick to make it less painful if you have never used an epilator before is to get your legs waxed first, then start using the Optima as maintenance. The reason it hurts so much in the beginning is that you are pulling so many hairs at the same time. Once you have it down to just the new growth, it is almost painless. If you can't or won't get a waxing, for the first time try using it on small areas at a time, over several days, so that you aren't killing yourself by trying to do it all at once. Otherwise, yes, it will be very painful. I promise it will get much, much less painful if you stick with it, and don't let all the hair grow out every time.

I have just purchased my third Emjoi in three years. I take care of it properly, but it is just not something that will flawlessly work year after year. However, buying blades and shaving cream every few weeks adds up, so I figure this is no more expensive than shaving in the long run. Also, while I do prefer this to shaving, it does not leave skin as smooth as shaving does. Even if you go slowly and carefully, it breaks some of the hairs off at the skin. Also, be aware that the first few times are very, very painful, but it grows less painful with each use until finally you barely feel it at all. It does last a bit longer than shaving however, and over time, the hair grows in sparser and more fine. My mother has been using epilators for 10 years, and the hair on her arms is so fine and sparse that she only needs to use this every three weeks. If you can suffer through the first few times, you will be happy with this product. It's not perfect, but it sure beats shaving daily.

I purchased this prior to Oct, 2006 to give me a respite from everyday shaving. It is absolutely wonderful! I haven't used a razor since. Make sure you exfoliate prior to use, and you won't get ingrown hairs. I have sensitive skin and have not had any problems. The only thing I would change and this is my fault: I would have ordered a rechargeable because I like to be cord free. Other than that...definitely 5 stars!
