After taking the prescription Prempro for 6 months I switched to Remifemin. I was having too many side effects from the prescription and I was rather leary of taking it as I am considered high risk despite the doctor not thinking so. I have been taking this for 2 months now and the transition was better than I expected. I take 2 Remifemin in the morning and 2 at bedtime as I was just getting my estrogen levels back up and read it was perfectly safe to double the dosage. I have had no hot flashes or night sweats and some of my other menopausal symptoms have eased up as well. I am very happy with this product and intend to continue with it.

I used this product for a short time until I began seeing a change in the toilet. This product has 20mg Black Cohosh Extract. When researching Black Cohosh I found that it's not suggested to use if you have a uterine fibroid or food allergies. I have both of those issues, so when adding possible liver damage I decided to stop using the product. I'll take a hot flash over liver damage any day. Several sites that I visited advised the same information as WebMD:

Black cohosh can cause some mild side effects such as stomach upset, cramping, headache, rash, a feeling of heaviness, vaginal spotting or bleeding, and weight gain.

There is also some concern that black cohosh may be associated with liver damage. It is not known for sure if black cohosh actually causes liver damage. Researchers are studying this. Until more is known, people who take black cohosh should watch for symptoms of liver damage. Some symptoms that may suggest liver damage are yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice), unusual fatigue, or dark urine. If these symptoms develop, black cohosh should be stopped and a health provider should be contacted. People who take black cohosh should talk with their health provider about getting tests to make sure their liver is working well.

I take one tablet every morning with breakfast. It's taken for menopause and has done wonders for hot flashes; I hardly experience them.

I decided to try this product since it was on sale. I was very disappointed as it does not help in any way with hot flashes or night sweats. It is costly as well.
One A Day menopause formula does work so I am going back to using it.

I have shared this product with my gynecologist who is now recommending it to her other patients as a natural alternative. Use as directed or discuss with doctor. I take two daytime tabs in the a.m. and one of the Remifemin Night time tabs in the p.m. and the hot flashes has all but disappeared. Mood swings are gone and I feel like me again!

As part of perimenopause, I started having severe, frequent hot flashes in January -- about 20 a day including several overnight. I looked into natural remedies and read a lot of positive things about this product. I started taking it in February and, as it claims, my hot flashes became much less frequent in 6 weeks, and within 8 weeks they pretty much stopped. I'm still hot flash free and still taking it. Haven't had any side effects.
