I use it with the shower poofies (netting) and with exfoliating gloves. Both give a great lather. I pat dry after showering and my skin is smooth and not the least bit itchy or flaky. I softens and smoothes the skin without leaving a greasy residue. I think this is a great product. My children, all of whom suffer from psoriasis, use this product. It has a thin, smooth consistency, and you need a good handful of it to apply all over your body. I bought this because I have dry flaky skin that hasn't responded to moisturizers, and I have been trying to get away from sodium laureth sulfate to see if it has any effect on my skin. This product uses MIPA Laureth Sulfate instead, which probably accounts for its non-foaming issue. As for moisturization, I rate this a light moisturizer, and probably would help out with skin that is itchy, but don't expect not to have to put on lotion if you have dry skin. On the plus side, it does not act like baby oil, which leaves a greasy feeling on my skin and leaves an annoying greasy ring in my tub, so it gets stars for that. However, I find that it has an overwhelming smell of fish - not so much dead fish on the beach, but the smell of those Omega fish oil vitamins, so I recommend using it with something else to block the smell. Package says that it has no fragrance, and I see that in other reviews, so maybe I have an overactive nose or a bottle from the bottom of the batch. Or it could be the castor oil in the ingredients. This was the only product that soothed my husband's skin while working in Iraq in 130 degree heat with 10% humidity. So many other expensive brands of washes and lotions later, I found this. What a godsend!! It healed the tightness, itching, flaking and cracking with the first use. He was stunnned....I was relieved! I can't recommend this enough. The ONLY drawback is the faintly fishy smell, due to the omega oils. But if you're suffering enough you won't care. THRILLED to use it and smell like an omega 3 gelcap!! Was this review helpful? My skin in the winter used to drive me crazy with itching, to the point that I scratched in my sleep, irritating my skin further and causing still more itching as it healed. A vicious cycle. With this product, I can get away without body lotion, even in mid-winter! I'm allergy-prone, so I appreciate the lack of added scent. I use it now year-round for every shower, usually with a net puff to exfoliate at the same time, but a wash cloth works as well. Usually I use it after shaving. If you're looking for big foamy bubbles, you won't find them here -- it's very low lathering if at all, but my skin feels soft and clean after washing with it and rinsing off. They all suffer from atopic dermatitis and this is one product that they dont have any allergic reaction too. Easy and economical to use. My skin has become dry and itchy as I've aged, and I wanted something gentle yet effective to reduce the flaking and itching. This product is terrific! I don't like highly scented body products, so the subtle clean smell of this Eucerin body oils was ideal. I was surprised that some wrote that it has a fishy smell. I have a sensitive nose, and I detect no off scent to this product. It smells like sweet almond oil to me, which is quite pleasant. It does not produce a lather, but it is often the lather-making additives in soap products that cause dryness and sensitivities. Lather does not equal clean. I use a nylon pouf to apply, which also acts as an exfoliant. My husband appreciates that it doesn't leave the tub as slippery as an ice rink as some oil based products can. The lather is great and it's very moisturizing, however I find myself steering clear of using this product in the mornings because of it's weird smell. I don't know, I guess it really wouldn't matter if you plan on putting lotion on after it. Overall, I trust Eucerin. Was this review helpful? I even used it on my face and it has done wonders havent had a breakout and my skin is absolutely clear,and glowing! I went and bought like 5 bottles since it is so cheap.I LOVE IT!!! It is easy to apply: just squirt a small blob of it on a washcloth and gently rub the washcloth on the skin. It doesn't produce a big lather, but it does produce enough lather, and it leaves the skin clean and soothed (counteracting the irritation and itching that both hot water and scrubbing, as well as bar soap, can cause).
