When I had my facelift in 1997 my surgeon recommended this for under-eye areas. I was told to warm it in the microwave to thin it a bit. It still is the ONLY moisturizer which does not make my eyes burn. It IS heavy and takes longer to absorb, but it is worth the wait! I also use it on my feet with great results.

This product disappeared from our local stores some time ago; after putting up with inferior products (some with the same brand name) I was excited to find this online.

I use it on my hands at bedtime, and it works better than anything else we've tried.

My son has severe eczema. In winter despite the amount of lotion, his skin continues to crack very deep and bleed uncontrollably. I have purchased every lotion/cream/oil under god's green earth. Pricey, cheap, department store, organic, non comedogenic, etc. Eucerin is a dream come true. It's not a joke though that straight out the jar, it's like rubbing spackle or elmer's glue to your skin. Although unbelievably effective, the greasy feel is just very unpleasant. This is a disclaimer as this is how I personally use it. While my son is taking a bath, I'll have a small space heater going to keep the room nice and warm when he comes out. I place the open jar in front of the heater by a few inches. After about 10 minutes, the lotion "melts" but instead of melting to something unpleasant, it has the texture of creme fraiche, fresh whipped cream. I grab a chunk and let it cool in my hand for a second or two and it soaks into my son's skin immediately without the sticky, tacky feeling. As another person posted, eucerin on freshly washed and moist skin truly reduces the itchiness factor later on. On a side note, my sister is 36 and uses this as her night time face lotion- no expensive department store stuff for her. That's pretty disgusting as I can't imagine this stuff on my face with or without warming it first but her skin is smooth, wrinkle free, and luminous!

Being diabetic my feet need extra care. They must be kept well moisturized to prevent dry, cracked skin which can lead to bleeding and infection, which is quite dangerous for diabetics. Our feet don't heal quickly due to reduced blood circulation in the lower extremities. When I developed this problem, my podiatrist simply recommended Eucerin Cream in the large tub and said to use it liberally . That was ten years ago and i've never looked back.

Sometimes it's the old simple brands that work the best.

I used it for eczema I have noticed that my eczema has begun to look better since I started Eucerin. However, it is not the greatest for stopping itching by itself. It does work well after a shower, however. If you take a shower and then put on Eucerin the itchiness pretty much disappears.
