I got tired of clumsily using a knife to cut tablets, not to mention the other 1/2 would fly off the counter; landing of course under the fridge with the occasional dropped supplement, lol. Don't hesitate like I did, this gizmo works great. Love how it handily stores the remaining part of tablet inside the unit.

I have used this cutter many times and it's always cuts the pills perfectly and evenly. Just make sure the pill is positioned right before cutting. I clean off the blade after each use by gently wiping with a wet towel and then drying thoroughly. Be careful blade is sharp.

Cuts evenly, great value! Also it stores the pills you have already cut in a separate little compartment until you are done with the job, and it's about half the price of the ones they sell in corner drugstores.

I wish I had purchased this long ago. It works great. I can see that it might break in the future because its not perfectly made, but its not expensive and if used properly it shouldl last a few years.

This pill splitter needs some improvements in the safety department. When I first got the splitter it said to carefully rinse with warm soapy water. But upon trying to open the splitter which was somewhat stuck it suddenly popped open and I ended up scraping my finger on the blade. The tabs you use to open the splitter should be a little bigger.
It cuts well with some pills and others they crumb and then the powder fall through these two little slits that you will not know is there until you have bought the product. I'm sticking with my trusty knife.
