UVA rays present almost the same damaging effects to the skin in December at 9 a.m., as they do in July at 4 p.m. UVA radiation is consistently damaging, and in fact, enters deeper into the skin than UVB and are believed by many physicians to be more harmful, which is why patients with sun sensitivity require daily, year round complete protection.
SPF - Not Enough The Sun Protection Factor (SPF) number is not a completely accurate determination of a sunscreen's capability of protecting the skin from the sun's harmful rays. SPF is only an indication of protection from one wavelength of light, the UVB. It does not indicate protection from UVA rays, which are responsible for deeper skin damage, including tanning, wrinkles, pigmentation changes and premature skin aging. Currently there is no rating system for UVA protection.

i am the quintessential SKIN protector. i have very very fair, porcelain skin - that glows, perftecly, if i take care of it. THIS product, without doubt, like others have testified is the BEST on the MARKET. none of us want to get older. we ALL want that baby skin we had in our teens. and, because i've protected myself from the 'killer of youth' sun all of my life - for being in my late 40's - inching up to that big 50.....i haven't a spot OR a wrinkle. namely - one reason, because i've been wearing sunscreen ALL of my adult life, starting at 'round 20. so, if you want to protect your skin from the harshness of the SUN - in ALL seaons....THIS is the stuff to use. most people don't realize or haven't read that a ton of the sun products - out there - actually 'melt' once the sun hits the ingredients. these products do NOT cover ALL the harmful rays, and they really do break DOWN their potency, once the brilliant SUN hits the product. so, in effect, a lot of the sunscreens are totally useless. just a bandaid placed on a raging fire - with the 'fire' being the sun. this product is pricey...........but, WHO CARES....i'd say it's a fair price to pay for staving OFF wrinkles and ugly, leather skin. if you want to GLOW. get OUT of the SUN. but, if you HAVE to get IN THE SUN - like we ALL do, lather your face UP with this stuff and you will be holding BACK TIME!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ thank you Fallene PEOPLE - you ROCK@@!!!!!!!!!!!

I easily burn and have a family history of melanomas. I regularly use a minimum of SPF 50 when I know I'll be out of doors more than an hour.

Total Block looks, feels and smells more like calamine lotion than a sun block. While that may seem a negative, my experience with effective sun blocks is they are greasing and heavy. This product, as others have noted, applies more like a makeup product. It takes a bit to work into the skin and does have a slight 'foundation' look to it. The 'calamine' like smell disappears quickly.
However, it has lasting power for outdoor activities. I have taken it on extended bike rides and hikes and have not had any burning.
Despite packaging claims do not use in water. While it holds up to sweating it does not hold up to pool use. I had applied this and waited about 30 minutes before swimming and it came right off.

Dermatologist recommended this sunblock when I was using retinol treatment for acne---to help prevent dark spotting that can occur with use of retinol. Perfect! I am a very fair-skinned hispanic female---so I tend to get dark spottings on my face with sun exposure. This sublock blocks all sun damage. I use it everyday all-year-round.

I bought this product and another..(Blue Lizzard)and I am completely dissatisfied with this product(Fallene Total)..it says it dries clear..however it stained my new white golf shirt..which I have washed and scrubbed 2 times.. and the sides of my car which are black are now all white..hopefully I can get that off.it also rubbed on my black capri's and I just took them out of the wash and had to re-scrub where the white was to get off. I will NOT purchase this product again.Hopefully Blue Lizzard will be a better product.

I don't like to pay alot of money for most products, but this is well worth it! As a victim of melanoma I apply sunscreen daily to protect my skin from any further damage. This sun block is very effective. The scent is pleasant (almost unnoticeable). I highly recommend Total Block! I have very oily skin and tend to shy away from using any lotion based product on my face. I've tried many different sunscreens recommended for oily skin only to find my make up smears and my face, a shiny mess after a few hours. So far, this product is the best I've found!

This is the best sunblock out there. I suffer from extreme photosensitivity and this is the only sunblock that works for me. I highly recommend it and can't say enough good things about it.

I have very fair, sensitive skin and am very prone to breakouts and melasma. I have tried all kinds of sunscreen and sunblock from drugstore brands to the most expensive. Total Block has been a lifesaver. It has a great consistency, doesn't leave my skin greasy and when I choose to mix it with my face makeup it doesn't get chalky. It does not make me break out and keeps my skin protected. I highly recommend this product. Recently I had some questions about the product and the company was so responsive and helpful. This is by far the best sunblock I have ever used!
