Indications

Temporarily reduces fever, relieves minor aches, pains and headache.

Warnings

Liver Warning: This product contains acetaminophen. Severe liver damage may occur if your child takes: More than 5 doses in 24 hours, which is the maximum daily amount; with other drugs containing acetaminophen. For rectal use only. Do not use: If you are allergic to acetaminophen; With any other drug containing acetaminophen (prescription or nonprescription). If you are not sure whether a drug contains acetaminophen, ask a doctor of pharmacist. Ask a doctor before use if: The child has liver disease; The child is taking the blood thinning drug warfarin. Stop use and ask a doctor if: Fever lasts more than 3 days (72 hours), or recurs; Pain lasts more than 5 days or gets worse; New symptoms occur; Redness or swelling is present in the painful area. These may be signs of a serious condition. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed or in case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical in case of overdose for adults and for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms. Tamper Evident: Suppositories are individually wrapped. Do not use if imprinted wrapper is opened or damaged.

Our pediatrician recommended suppositories since our baby projectile vomited anything resembling oral medicine. And he hated and still hates sweets (go figure) so mixing his medicine in with pudding wouldn't work in our house. Now, at the age of 3 we give him a choice -- medicine by mouth or in his bum and he always choses his rear! It works fast, brings his fever right down, doesn't make him gag or cry and SAVED OUR LIFE when he was an infant. Love this stuff!

This product is great for kids that have a hard time taking medicine and for kids that can't keep anything down because of vomiting. They are completely painless and easy to insert. We used latex finger cots or latex gloves to help keep things sanitary.

I don't know why more moms and doctors don't recommend this product! My son has coxsackie with a 104F fever and there was no way he was going to swallow medicine w/his mouth being so painful. The suppositories are a great and effective solution and work great! My son's dose is 160mg (based on weight) so we were able to give him just half a suppository which is really tiny. The only con I an see is that you have to keep giving it every 4hrs (same as Tylenol). Such a great product during a difficult time.

Do not use more than directed. Remove Wrapper. Carefully insert suppository well up into the rectum. Under 3 years: Do not use unless directed by a doctor. 3 to 6 years: Use 1 suppository every 4 to 6 hours (maximum of 5 doses in 24 hours). Store at 2°-27° C (35°-80°F). Do not use if imprinted suppository wrapper is opened or damaged.
