I never forgot the next morning when I woke up. My hair was volumized but most importantly it felt soft instead of frizzy, dry and hars. It was almost like a miracle and ever since I received so many compliments on my curly hair. Then Finesse disappeared, couldn't figure out why:(.............but it's back and my hair is happy again. Sometimes it is hard to find. I don't know why because at the same time it seems to be always sold out. I hope Finesse will never disappear again. This shampoo and matching conditioner has a very odd smell and I thought maybe I could deal with that, but it also is ineffective. My hair ended up dry, dull, and lifeless. Maybe it's because my hair is thick, course,and color-treated, so I definitely would not recommend this for that type of hair. But also, if you want a nice smelling shampoo, this is not it! This not only dried my thick hair out but made it almost impossible to comb out my wet hair, my hair is past shoulder length and getting harder & harder to comb these days and this stuff did not help at all. My daughter has very long hair; this shampoo keeps it nice and straight without tangles. Our hair is shiny and very manageable; it feels soft all day long. After rinsing it out, my hair is soft, silky and easy to comb thru. It does what it should and has kept my long hair in shape: soft, shiny, manageable and not weighed down. Hair Products 101: That stuff is to make the shampoo lather but ALS is harsher that SLS and I could feel it. If you use this shampoo, I strongly recommend you use the matching conditioner, Finesse Moisturizing for dry, course hair. Otherwise a great shampoo! My husband and I use this regularly. It moisturizes my long hair leaving it super soft and manageable. He likes it because it doesn't smell 'like a woman'. Good buy.
