I am in pain management due to degenerative scoliolis and have to take meds that are very constipating. I'm lucky to have a bowel movement once a week and when I do go on my own, it is one small little rock. Before my pain started, I used to go daily, sometimes 2X daily. Colonoscopy revealed no malignancies or tumors, but did show hemorrhoids from straining and some staining from taking too many stimulant laxatives. My GI doctor took me off the stimulant laxatives and put me on 30gm of fiber, prunes, a diet high in fiber, regular exercise, 8-10 glasses of water and Mirilax. I followed his advise to the letter. This resulted in severe gas and bloating and over a week with NO BOWEL MOVEMENT. He even tried me on Amitiza but it was like taking a sugar pill. Did NOTHING. I got so constipated and full following "doctor's orders", that almost sent me to the ER with an impaction. His nurse said I had done damage to my colon from the laxatives and to "give the fiber MORE TIME to work". Well....to heck with that. I was hurting, headachy and miserable. So the nurse at my GP's office recommended the Fleet liquid glycerin and said it was safe to use as needed. WOW. What a Godsend. I immediately released after inserting and had 3 more formed stools that day. The only side effect I notice is I do have alot of gas for several hours afterward but that's probably due to all the stored up gas from being constipated. I will never let myself get that constipated again. I use it every other day now to have a BM in addition to my doctor's recommendations. I reported to him that I am now regular but I didn't tell him "why". Ha ha. What he doesn't know, won't hurt him but it sure has helped me! ;)

I'm on a migraine medicine that causes severe constipation, and I picked this up in addition to the solid glycerine. This stuff works great, the solid is good but this is faster and more effective if the problem is severe. It works much faster than the solid - you pretty much want to hang out in the bathroom after you use it. I find that it causes cramping and urgency for about half an hour after I use it, if you haven't used one before I'd definitely recommend trying it when you don't have anyplace to be for a couple hours. The cramps can be somewhat painful but they pass quickly, if the problem is bad enough that it warrants using this you probably won't mind the tradeoff. :)

This little product had been a godsend for me! It works, is easy to use, and I can carry it in my purse for those days I might need a little extra help and am on the go. I have dealt with constipation for years, and this is a great solution.

I care for a disabled person who needs help to go to the bathroom. This product is easy to use, gives results quickly, and is not harsh on the body. Our doctor said it is safe to use daily.

I must take a laxative everyday because I am on a pain management program. This makes it so you can't go at all. But this stuff works great & fast
