I am 81 years old and recently learned I am
anemic. I was getting dizzy spells(something
unusual for me) and in general felt rotten.
I seldom go to a physician. This time I had to.
He suggested taking iron tablets which I found
I couldnt absorb easily so went to, Floradix
Liquid Iron which I had already heard so much
about. It has helped me immensely. I take one
capful a day althought you can take two, I believe.
Yes, the taste is different; it is more sweet
than anything else but the way I feel if it is
going to make me feel better, I would even
put down a bitter taste if I had to. Anyone
around my age probably remembers the old
Geritol ads on TV and elsewhere years ago and
alot like me laughed them off thinking no way
could a liquid advertised on TV give you any
real energy or make you feel better. I think
perhaps now I should have paid more attention
to it than I did but I was young and what did
I know? Floradix in my estimation is rather
expensive but when you get to the point that
you are starting to drag yourself around just
to get going, well, it is worth it. Be sure
to keep it in the frig.

I took this while pregnant a few years back and, as someone who suffers from sluggish digestion, it really was not nearly as constipating as the pills. Now I'm taking it to help with more major anemia as a result of internal bleeding that required emergency surgery. I was taking 2 doses a day for the first week post-op, and when I went back for a blood test, my doctor was very pleased with the results. It's also really helped me regain my energy. I don't find the taste that unpleasant. It's pricey (I went through the 8.5 oz bottle in 2 weeks!) but worth it if you are anemic for any reason. Should last a month if you only take one dose a day.

I'm using this product in the third trimester of my pregnancy on the recommendation of my midwife. I was told and researched it has an excellent absorption rate. It has had no side effects for me and the taste, while not delicious, is very acceptable.

My hemoglobin count was a 10 and I needed to increase this to a 12 or better. I've been taking it for about 1 month so far, I will be getting another blood test in about a month or so and will report back how much it helped to increase my hemoglobin count.

The dosage is only 10ml twice each day which is very convenient to take.

The only flaw is the child safety bottle cap protector. It was difficult for me to tell if the cap was tightly sealed a couple times and I ended up spilling some when shaking it the next time.

Other than that it is a great product.

this product did NOT work for me and sent my iron levels crashing. my anemia is worse than it has ever been. My doctor has me taking 640mg a day and SlowFE worked well, i just hate taking 4-5 of them a day. it also made me very sick to my stomach and my heart race (bc of b vitamins). and the taste was awful. the short lived energy boost from the b vitamins was nice though.

Like a lot of women, I suffer from low iron levels. My doctor recommended Floradix because it doens't cause constipation like iron tablets can. It's not the best tasting stuff, so I take a quick shot and wash it down with water. I've noticed a real difference in my energy level since I started taking it.

My dr. recommended this to increase my ferritin levels. It worked pretty good - my levels increased by at least 20 pts. after only a few months of using it. I also noticed that I have more energy and feel better overall when I take it. I'd never taken any iron supplements, but heard that they often have negative digestive effects (bloating, constipation, etc). This product does not seem to have any of those. The flavour was a bit strange at first, but now I have grown to like it. Kind of tastes like raisins. Unfortunately, it is not cheap! Also, it doesn't travel well, so I have to buy the pills for when I go on trips.

This was recommended by my Dr. and a few friends after I was discovered to be anemic, but had a hard time tolerating iron supplements in pill form. Non-constipating, easy to take and doesn't taste too bad either, if you don't mind the taste of prunes! I would give it a perfect rating if not for the cost and the fact that it is not easy to find in a typical pharmacy or grocery store..
