Key Lime Cilantro Taco Skillet Sauce
Amp up your tacos by adding fresh flavor.  All it takes is a pouch of Frontera Taco Skillet Sauce warmed with cooked shrimp or fish.  Everybody dreams of eating tacos on a Mexican beach - the flavors of fresh seafood, lime, green chile and cilantro wrapped in a warm tortilla.  Here it is, ready in 10 minutes - surf not included.

Quick Recipe - Serves 4 to 6
Key Lime Shrimp Tacos

  • 1 onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 1 poblano or anaheim chile, sliced (optional)
  • 1 pound peeled, deveined medium shrimp
  • 1 pouch Frontera Taco Skillet Sauce

Cook onion and chile in 1 tablespoon oil in large nonstick skillet until tender.  Add shrimp; cook and stir until opaque, 2-4 minutes.  Stir sauce into skillet; heat through.  Serve in warm tortillas with chopped cilantro.  Variation:  Substitute 1 pound sea scallops or cubed firm fish for the shrimp.
