Quick Recipe - Serves 6
Slow-Cooked Beef Barbacoa
- 2 lbs. boneless beef chuck roast or brisket, cut into large chunks
- 1/2 medium red onion, sliced thick
- 1 pouch Frontera Red Chile Barbacoa Slow Cook Sauce
Brown beef in 2 Tbs. oil in skillet. Put beef, onion and sauce into slow-cooker. Cover; slow-cook on low until tender, about 8 hours. Pull meat into large shreds. Serve with pan juices in warm tortillas. Alternatively, cook beef and sauce with 1 cup water in covered Dutch oven at 325° for 2-3 hours.
