After showering and using my other skin care products I apply Fruit of the Earth's Aloe Vera Gel as the finishing layer (under make up). It is amazing at calming my irritated skin and decreasing the redness. I will often apply it before going to bed too if my rosacea is flairing at night. I have used a lot of products promising rosacea care and this product is one that has really helped. I love that it doesn't have other additives found in other Aloe Vera Gels like alcohol that irritates my skin even more. Fruit of the Earth is gentle and effective. After my shower I used it in my hair instead of my usual gel, on my face instead of my usual facial moisturizer, and all over my body instead of my usual cream. By chance, it was a rainy, humid summer day. From the moment I applied it, my face felt weird (some have described it as tight). My hair felt very soft. But after walking around in the moisture, I could feel the coating of gel all over me, slightly sticky and itchy, especially on my face. Compared with my regular hair gel, this did nothing to keep my curls defined and frizz-free. I bought the product on the recommendation of a dermatologist friend who said it was great for sunburn, so if I ever get a sunburn I'll be back to let you know how that worked, but in the meantime I'm going back to my usual hair, face and skin products. By the way, I agree with the reviewer who noted that it is extremely deceptive the way the product says it is 100% gel, not 100% aloe. Many reviewers don't seem to realize this is not a pure aloe product. I also don't understand all those who liked the smell, since I found the product to have no scent whatsoever. I have combination skin so finding the right moisturizer can be tricky. I also tend to get very dry/red/irritated skin in the winter. This product has kept my skin looking and feeling great. I love that it is almost 100% pure. They have to add preservatives so it doesn't spoil. I love, love, love that the preservatives aren't parabens! I also love that there is no fragrance and no dye. No product will work for everyone, but aloe has been working for a lot of people for thousands of years. This is the best bottled aloe I have found. I highly recommend it. Pros

Then I found this AVG in my cabinet and remembered how well it healed and softened my skin after a pretty bad sunburn. I tried it and again I was amazed at the result! It is a great pore minimizer and does all the other things a serum is supposed to do. I use it 2x a day. At night under my moisturizer and during the day under my BB cream. It literally took 10 years of my face (im43). I also have to say that I tried another Aloe vera gel brand and it did not work as well. So Fruit of the earth is the best. American made, creates jobs, inexpensive and I can feel good about using it:) Pros

I like this brand because it is natural without any added dyes or colors. It is very important to use if you have dry or irritated skin especially if it came from the sun or wind. I use this on a regular basis after I shower. I take a couple ounces of aloe and add a couple drops of lavendar and tea tree essential oils. Shake before using. I apply this on my bikini zone after shaving and it helps prevent irritation and ingrown hairs. Pros

But a little bit of a personal story, I have a disorder that caused my hair and eyebrows to fall out and now they're growing in slowly. I feel like it's healing my scalp and eye area, I also use it to "perk up" my face sometimes by putting it in the fridge and using it around my eyes. I use it for scalp and facial massage as well, very relaxing. It never, ever clogs pores, and I've got that large-pored acne prone skin. It's soothing after picking at a blemish, it helps it heal.
