After showering and using my other skin care products I apply Fruit of the Earth's Aloe Vera Gel as the finishing layer (under make up). It is amazing at calming my irritated skin and decreasing the redness. I will often apply it before going to bed too if my rosacea is flairing at night. I have used a lot of products promising rosacea care and this product is one that has really helped. I love that it doesn't have other additives found in other Aloe Vera Gels like alcohol that irritates my skin even more. Fruit of the Earth is gentle and effective. After my shower I used it in my hair instead of my usual gel, on my face instead of my usual facial moisturizer, and all over my body instead of my usual cream. By chance, it was a rainy, humid summer day. From the moment I applied it, my face felt weird (some have described it as tight). My hair felt very soft. But after walking around in the moisture, I could feel the coating of gel all over me, slightly sticky and itchy, especially on my face. Compared with my regular hair gel, this did nothing to keep my curls defined and frizz-free. I bought the product on the recommendation of a dermatologist friend who said it was great for sunburn, so if I ever get a sunburn I'll be back to let you know how that worked, but in the meantime I'm going back to my usual hair, face and skin products. By the way, I agree with the reviewer who noted that it is extremely deceptive the way the product says it is 100% gel, not 100% aloe. Many reviewers don't seem to realize this is not a pure aloe product. I also don't understand all those who liked the smell, since I found the product to have no scent whatsoever. Silly me staying in the sun for 5 hours. I was petrified that my face was going to remain like this. My friend recommended this gel and after a week or so the crust started to peel of and beautiful skin appeared. Ever since I have been using this gel. It simply makes my skin soft and smooth looking. I have tried several facial lotions but it always becomes a gooey mess that does not soak into my skin enough. I have tried other Aloe vera gels but none of them are as good as Fruit of the Earth. 20 years later and I am still using it. Pros

I went into a local drugstore, compared a bit and bought this without reading reviews - just from the packaging's description and I'm glad i made the right choice!
