After showering and using my other skin care products I apply Fruit of the Earth's Aloe Vera Gel as the finishing layer (under make up). It is amazing at calming my irritated skin and decreasing the redness. I will often apply it before going to bed too if my rosacea is flairing at night. I have used a lot of products promising rosacea care and this product is one that has really helped. I love that it doesn't have other additives found in other Aloe Vera Gels like alcohol that irritates my skin even more. Fruit of the Earth is gentle and effective. After my shower I used it in my hair instead of my usual gel, on my face instead of my usual facial moisturizer, and all over my body instead of my usual cream. By chance, it was a rainy, humid summer day. From the moment I applied it, my face felt weird (some have described it as tight). My hair felt very soft. But after walking around in the moisture, I could feel the coating of gel all over me, slightly sticky and itchy, especially on my face. Compared with my regular hair gel, this did nothing to keep my curls defined and frizz-free. I bought the product on the recommendation of a dermatologist friend who said it was great for sunburn, so if I ever get a sunburn I'll be back to let you know how that worked, but in the meantime I'm going back to my usual hair, face and skin products. By the way, I agree with the reviewer who noted that it is extremely deceptive the way the product says it is 100% gel, not 100% aloe. Many reviewers don't seem to realize this is not a pure aloe product. I also don't understand all those who liked the smell, since I found the product to have no scent whatsoever. It is the best all natural 100% product of its kind that I have found. Others have added ingrediants, scents and alcohol. I have also been allowiing both of my small dogs and cat to lick the gel from my finger tip evey day. In fact, they actually beg for it, and their coats look great and are very soft. I would not concider offering it to my pets if it were not 100% pure. Pros

It didn't work for my hair, it dried it out and left a residue. I used it after my son got a sunburn on vaction, it soothed his face and promoted healing. For me it worked on a curling iron burn on my ear. I will use it as a first aid product, but it didn't wow me like it did for some of the other reviewers. Pros

It has a wonderful cooling feeling and as an added bonus, there is no dye and all natural ingredients. Not all aloe gels contain aloe vera (most have aloe extract and non-aloe ingredients and are dyed bright green). Pros
