Comments about FUTURO Active Knit Knee Stabilizer - Large, 1 ea:

The Futuro Active Knee Stabilizer has take a couple of hits for negative comments; Let me provide an alternative view.

If you workout or treadmill, then you know it's easy to twist your knee/s. This may be particularly true for women because of our hips and the weight shifts that accompany our movement. As a Means of Prevention of injury, I use the Futuro while working out whether on the treadmill or in general workout activities. Anyone who has had a knee injury will tell you that they debilitate your life so the answer to that is Prevent, Prevent, Prevent.

The Futuro is an extremely well-made knit of quality material, unlike some of the other "stretchy" knee knits. There have been a couple of complaints regarding the Futuro so let me address those. 1. It is too tight at the top and cuts into the thigh. Answer: The Futuro is designed to provide stability and may feel a little tight; don't buy too small. I purchased a large and my height is 5 foot 5 inches, weight appropriate. The very top of the Futuro does feel a little tight and I will probably take my (as anyone who sews has one of these) stitch ripper and take out the rolled over, stitched edging at the top. This will result in a less tight and flat top for the thigh.
    2. The Futuro is designed with what feels like a inch-wide, length of the knee knit, material along either side of the knee. This material, stitched into a kind of inch-wide sleeve, feels somewhat like a piece of venetian blind might, but not sharp in any way and it is, of course in the middle of the two pieces of knit. At first, this might seem uncomfortable because it is designed to provide SUPPORT. Want support, gotta have some strength. Once I became used to this, I found myself very appreciative of this design from Futuro.

There is also a wonderful kind of round padding around the outside of where the knee is on the Futuro. Again, just great design from the company.

In closing, I love this product and will buy another one. I may try the next size up and see how I feel about it, if I like a slightly looser feel, or a feel that has more "give."

For men, they definitely will need to buy a size above what they might at first think they need, at least that would be my thoughts.

So, in closing, for a few dollars, you can prevent knee injury. I will buy several of these over the next few months (budget:) so that I always have them available, and I will try a couple of different sizes: cheap cost to prevent any knee problems. I am also a gardener and will probably where them for all the up/down of gardening.

Oh, and I do buy two, one for each knee.

Thank you, Futuro. A fabulous product!!

Rips easily – terrible customer service

Comments about FUTURO Active Knit Knee Stabilizer - Large, 1 ea:

I where this knee stabilizer when I run and cycle. The fit was great and it really helped me after a knee injury. However, I have 2 reasons why I gave it only 1 star. First, the center of the knee ripped easily. I have gone through 2 of these in 6 months and they keep ripping in the same spot ( center of knee ). Second reason is the terrible customer service. When I contacted the manufacturer about the rip, they wouldn't replace either of them. I was told by their customer service that I exceeded the intended use of this brace. I refuse to keep buying these every couple of months, so I will be forced to try other brands. I will update this review when I find one.
