I was surprised at how easy it was to clean. I thought I would need one for every day and another for "dressing up". But I've been able to rinse it in dishwashing liquid after heavy duty indoor and outdoor cleanup for the holidays and was able to wear the same one for Christmas Day!

I was unable to unfasten strap because it stuck to the loops. I had to tear it loose, which left a bare spot where it needed to stick. I had purchased one at a local drug store that worked perfectly. The materials on the stick -to--surface are different. That one worked fine. Can't get ethe item at my local drug store now. Thus I won't order one from your supply unless I can be assured it is not defective.

I am delaying surgery on both thumbs with this and similar orthotics. The Futuro design is hard to fasten one-handed, especially with thumb pain in both hands.

I was disappointed to have the end of the tumb support split apart and fray severely in just three weeks of intermittent use. The support helps me continue my work which requires frequent keyboard use.

I mostly use the thumb stabilizer at work. I work in pricing, and use my thumb a lot. It is comfortable to wear. My main problem with it is that it shows dirt and is hard to clean. I went out and bought a competitive brand today that is black, and I think I will like it better. It is also starting to fray around the end of the thumb.

The product works well if your not very active. I golf with it on. The old metal stints constantly broke. The new plastic stints constantly slide out of their pockets. The velcro on the thumb wrap wears out quickly & could be easily improved with a longer strap which attaches to the wrist velcro. The makers of this device just can't seem to get it right and it isn't rocket science. It could be terrific with some mildly intelligent redesign. I'd only recommend this product to a person who is mildly active while wearing it.

It is a good product and serves the purpose for which it was designed, but the Velcro closure on the wrist strap locks so tight I have to have help getting it loose. Very inconvenient.
Open all Velcro® brand fasteners and slide thumb into thumb hole. Wrap stabilizer around hand and secure fastener at the base of the wrist.
Wrap long strap around wrist and secure. Adjust both closures until fit feels firm, yet comfortable.
Wrap and secure thumb strap around thumb for better fit, or along base of thumb for added stability. The metal stays can be adjusted to accommodate recommended positioning, or removed completely for moderate support.
Care: To wash, remove both metal stabilizers through slits at the base of the support, and secure all closures. Hand wash with mild soap in warm (not hot) water, rinse well and air dry. Do Not machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean, use bleach, fabric softeners.
