Comments about FUTURO Deluxe Wrist Stabilizer, Left Hand, Small/Medium, 1 ea:
As a computer programmer, I use this wrist stabilizer daily for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Over the past 15 years, I have tried many wrist braces, but found this is by far the best.
I noticed some complaints in other comments about the velcro being difficult to unfasten as they age; this is a valid point. Still, I find they are the best product on the market. I just slip them on and off without unfastining the velcro.
The are expensive, but they last me about 6 months with daily use during working hours. You can try several cheaper products, but if your livelihood depends on your ability to type, I recommend just starting out with Futuro. (Also make sure you are using an ergonomic Keyboard and keyboard tray.)
One pointer: you will need to make sure you adjust the metal brace support to the best angle to keep your wrist at the appropriate angle. Out of the box this metal brace part is flat and needs to be bent to the best angle for your hand. (This is fairly easy to do.) The ideal angle will slightly tilt your hand upwards to maximize the diameter of the carpal tunnel. If your wrist is strait, the carpal tunnel is kinked.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

stabilizer is properly positioned when thumb is in place and splint rests comfortably in the palm. Tighten Slide-Guard® fasteners.
Wrap the middle strap around the wrist. Adjust all straps until fit is firm, yet comfortable.
Care: Remove metal splint and close all fasteners prior to washing. Hand wash with mild soap in warm (not hot) water. Rinse well and air dry. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean, or use bleach or fabric softeners.
