Brace wraps about half way around arm; straps fasten at top & bottom, above and below joint. No compression or support provided to elbow itself. Personally, an "elbow brace" which fails to support the elbow seems rather pointless. If the brace wrapped all the way around, and the straps were wider &/or closer to the joint, the brace would provide more consistent compression and at least some support to the elbow itself.

I used this product to protect and support my elbow. I had a huge bulge that looked like a cartoon characters elbow, hence the name, pop-eye elbow. While protecting my elbow from getting bumped or banged my pop-eye elbow became smaller and smaller. It was comfortable to wear.

I am in the Army and I have tennis elbow and it mostly flares up when I do sprinting exercises or run more than four miles. I started wearing the Futuro and it prevents the intense pain. I especially like that I can put it on with one hand and it is easy to keep clean. I rinse it out regularly and it does not irritate my skin. I wish it came in tan or skin color.
Close fasteners prior to washing. Hand wash with mild soap in warm (not hot) water. Rinse well and air dry. DO NOT: machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean, or use bleach or fabric softeners
To Wear:
Put hand through sleeve and pull support over arm and towards elbow.
Position elbow into pocket of support
Adjust closures until support fits firmly, yet comfortably
