Have worn night splints for many years. These are, by far, the most comfortable I have ever had. I don't even know that I have them on my hands except grasping the bed covers can be a little tricky-a small price to pay for the comfort and lack of pain in the morning.

I use on both wrists and only when sleeping, and it gives me all day relief from carpal tunnel symptons. Stopped the numbness and helps to give me a very restful sleep.The only down side is that after 3-6 months of daily use, the velcro starts to not work so well, but I have found ways, even cutting off the velcro, that allow me to get about 12 months daily-use out of each pair. Very comfortable but it will take a couple of days to get used to wearing them. Out of all the braces I have used, even those provided by docotors, this has been for me the best brace by far.

I am a 50-year-old male with a 7 1/2 inch wrist diameter. I need a carpal tunnel brace that provides extra support while I sleep -- for some reason, carpal tunnel sufferers bend/exert pressure on the wrist during sleep. I've used a Futura Reversible Night Relief Brace for over two years, which I find to be the best that I've tried. Far better than the IMAK Wrist Support for Night Time Pain Relief. NOTE: all nighttime carpal tunnel braces are intended to restrict use of the fingers (as well as wrist) for greater support. Thus, this is inherently bulky and restrictive. You can still push buttons (not to say type), and hold things to some extent. I don't find it too restrictive, but if you do, I still recommend you use at least a daytime wrist brace at night.

Its comfortable. You can't use your fingers so this is only for sleeping. I like the little pillow and I do not think that its hot. Some people complained about that and my hand has not gotten sweaty and its summer time here.

This is a super wrist supporter. I have carpal tunnel and have used other types of cupports, but the cushioning beads in the palm of the hand that make such a difference. The cushion supports and molds around my palm which adds additional support. My hands feel great all night. Well worth the money spent. I will not go back to the others, this has made that much difference.

I have carpal tunnel pain the worst in the morning. I used to have to get out of bed as soon as my eyes opened to shake my hands awake and get the nerves unpinched. I've tried many wrist supports and this is by far the most comfortable for sleeping. The palm pad was uncomfortable at first, almost like it was stretching out my palm, but after a few days it felt natural. The part that goes up the lower arm does not dig into the arm at the edge like some others do, or have rigid pressure points. I don't wake with scratches on my face anymore either! Definitely a well designed product!

I have had excruciating pain that began a couple weeks ago as a nagging pain towards the top of my hand/wrist and thumb. But the last few days were so bad, I was wondering if I may have broken my hand. This brace arrived yesterday (thanks Drugstore! [...] I put it on immediately. Unfortunately I couldn't do much with my left hand after it was on. So I typed with one hand, but after I woke up, I could tell a difference and feel confident that this is going to be a huge help. I may buy the day time brace to wear at work. I'm very pleased with this.

I am an Occupational Therapist and knew from my training that this type of night/resting splint was supposed to help with carpal tunnel and tendonitis pain relief. It wasn't until I had pretty severe pain during the day that I decided to be proactive about it.
Since I have been wearing this nightly for a couple of weeks the pain has definitely lessened.
Because there are holes in both sides, it can be used for either hand (one hole for a thumb, the other for ventilation). The stretchy elastic and easily adjustable velcro tabs makes for a comfy, one-size-fits-many design. I have a 6" wrist and this defnitely has enough give for a much bigger or smaller hand/wrist. I just don't know how big or small.
I do not consider this to be a bulky splint, butI do see a variety of splints in my daily work. You should know before purchaing any night splint that they are padded (so you don't bonk yourself or your loved one in the head or accidentally scratch yourself) and they cover your hand past your large knuckles (for positioning all night, not for daily activity). It allows for comfortable moving of the fingers and thumb without allowing full range of motion.
I'd say the only drawback I have discovered is that the area where your fingers rest is like a memory-bean-bag type thing. It is comfortable, but it is the only part of the splint that doesn't breathe. I find that when I wear a wide ring (not my wedding band) with the splint, it feels a little sweaty by morning.
