I purchased these to wear on flights, while standing for extended periods or long walks/runs. I am female, but the women's selection is limited and these work great for me. I don't have excessive swelling, but everyone will have some fluid retention at the end of the day and these help with that. I use them on long walks or runs and my legs feel better afterward. They also stay put when I wear them with boots whereas other socks work their way down and become a nuisance. All in all a great sock for a great price.

This is the best substitute for the doctor prescribed (ultra expensive) TEDs stockings. I -really- like the fact that they come in black (the doctor Rx sort come in a sick-y flesh color or hospital white). The firm support is excellent - but if you really need an ultra firm stocking you'll find the compression in the ankle and foot a little low. Changing to a freshly laundered pair half-way through the day seems to help as the socks do tend to stretch out some over the course of many hours. Still - I can buy 6 pairs for the same price as the prescription brand.
Slip each foot inside hosiery and gradually pull up and over heel
Adjust heel for comfortable fit
Gently slide hosiery up each leg and smooth out wrinkles.
Note: Do not fold over bands or allow product to roll.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water. Do not wring out. Blot with towel to remove excess water. Air-dry or tumble dry in delicate cycle on low heat.
