Works well but I still gag when trying to use the scraper far back on my tongue. No fault of the scraper. My gag reflex is acute.

My ENT said I needed a toothpaste with chlorine dioxide to get rid of the bacteria on my tongue. Dr. Katz has the good stuff. Worked great.

This works well. It has a thick edge so it doesn't cut your tongue or hurt when you use it, like the ones I tried 10 years ago. I think the width of the product is perfect. If you have a weak gag reflex any product you use at the back of your throat will annoy you, but I have no problems with this. The bristles are awesome because they are stiff to really get the tongue clean, yet they are soft and don't agitate any taste buds on the tongue or anything. I sometimes put toothpaste on the bristles to help further clean my tongue, and I am very pleased they made the product with a hole under the bristles because toothpaste doesn't get trapped that way. (you have to see the product to understand what I am saying) I can easily rinse this clean, and its lightweight. It is what it is, and it works great.

This tool makes it so much easier to clean my tongue after I brush. And it rinses clean easily. It does a good job for me and doesn't tend to engage my gag reflex. I love using it. Before I discovered this tool my hygienist told me to clean my tongue with my toothbrush. This was not easy and I don't think it did a particularly good job. And the toothbrush always tended to make me gag.

I bought this when I couldn't find DenTek anywhere. It works, but it's awfully hard on my tongue. (I prefer DenTek because it has a rubber strip where the scraper is and it feels gentler. I can use a bit more pressure with it.) I thought I might like the bristles on this one so I could brush my tongue too, but that was just too messy for me and then the scaper was hard to rinse afterwards. I guess I would use this again if DenTek ever stops making their version.

Does the job well, only complain is that it's big. A smalller version with a shorter handle would be nice, especially when traveling.
Also, you need to be sure to rinse it well after each use.
