I started wearing this 2 days after having my baby and am glad I did. It gave my core some much needed stability (those stretched out ab muscles were pretty weak after pregnancy) that made it easier for me to get up and move around. I think it also helped me get my tummy to shrink back and provided my ab muscles with the structure and protection needed to tighten back up. This binder is cheaper than the ones marketed for post-maternity. You have to wear it everyday though for best results. I wore it for about 6 weeks and kept adjusting the tightness as I got smaller and smaller. It will show under tighter clothing so I had to take a star off for that. However, this wasn't a big issue for me since I was on maternity leave. I recommend you give it a try!
